To date no one has given an operatic voice to the profound personal and professional relationship of Samuel Barber and Gian-Carlo Menotti, two of the most celebrated composers of the 20th century. This opera is a journey, envisioned through the lens of Samuel Barber from the first day of moving into their home in 1943 until the sale of their house in 1973. It is a journey over three decades under the roof of their house, which they called “Capricorn.”
